But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue
knowledge,  to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to
perseverance godliness,  to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly
kindness love.  For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither
barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.   
(2 Peter 1:5-8)
This fast is from anything that has been keeping you
from being and doing all God has required of you.

Every 7 days you are asked to fast a different
unbiblical attitude or habit that the Spirit of God
has been tugging at your spirit to give up.   

Here are some suggestions:

  • Quick temper
  • Anger
  • , Unforgiveness
  • Immaturity
  • Eating too much salt, sugar, food
  • Procrastination
  • Laziness
  • Lack of Order
  • Lack of Self Control
  • Gossip
  • Ungodly attitude at work, home
  • Talking behind your employers back
  • Lack of support at the church
  • Bickering with spouse
  • Foolish spending
  • Smoking cigarettes
  • Drinking alcohol in excess
  • Abusing children, spouse, others
  • Lack of discipline in praying or studying the Word of God
  • Lack of Giving
  • Withholding your gift from God .......

During our Biblical Standards
Fast will you commit to
reading your bible through
in a Year.  There are many
websites that have a list you
can follow as well as many
bibles have a suggested
reading list to accomplish this
goal.  I personally have found
it helpful to purchase a
Daily Bible.  The bible is
already divided into sections
for each day and
the reading is as a daily
devotional.
